FAQs and Help

Why is making things great for my child’s development?

Making things activates many of our children’s senses such as touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing but also movement and balance. These are exactly the same senses children use to make sense of the world around them.

By providing opportunities for children to actively use these senses through messy play, crafting and making we support brain development as it helps with building nerve connections in the brain’s pathways. In other words, these activities help them process information they receive and establish a stronger and quicker response to them.

In other words, it helps your little one to complete more complex learning tasks, supports language development, gross and fine motor skills, social interaction, problem solving skills and cognitive growth. And it’s a great tool for calming anxious and frustrated children as well.

It encourages independent thinking, imagination and creativity. Plus it’s a great way to spend quality time together, not in front of a screen. So let's get making!

What ages are your kits suitable for?

Our kits have been created specifically for children aged 3 to 7. We test all of our activities with Alex, 3, to check they are age appropriate. All of our activities should be closely supervised as they may contain small pieces which could be a choking hazard and may not be suitable for younger toddlers under 36 months.

What can I expect in an activity kit?

Your kit will contain 4 activities to encourage your little one to learn through play. Each kit also includes simple instructions for each activity and detailing why that activity is great for your child’s development. Our kits are ideal if you want to try a new activities without the mess or the preparation.

Please note the only thing we don't include is scissors
