Absolutely fantastic box, the children were excited and engaged well in all the craft, the messy play is the perfect amount for our trays
It's definitely worth it for the chick peas, etc. Not so much for the rice. I now have more yellow rice than i ever thought i would have and much more than we need really with it having come in a few boxes now!
This most recent one had grass to cut out for under the mushrooms which was difficult for me to cut out, and i'm almost 40, so it was definitely pitched above the children's level.
Generally, these kits are great value for time-poor families who can afford someone else to curate the activities and parts. As my youngest gets older, we will move toward more of our own assembly at home using books for the ideas, but for now, these being grab and go is great
I'm so glad I signed up for this. I was initially hesitant, but having all the work of thinking of the activities, and having each one ready to go, with simple instructions and each activity seperated in a little bag is so worth it. My three year old boy has loved every single craft, and they've been so fun to do together! I wasn't sure how interested he'd be with the sensory trays but I was pleasantly surprised at how long he played with them, especially when I added a scoop and cup. The themes each month are cute and fun, and you can really tell how much thought has gone into each box.
My two love it. And I love the fact it’s ready for them to used and causes minimal mess! Over ordered three extra packs as they loved it so much.
I am a working mother who values spending quality time with my child. As my child grows, I seek more ideas to keep them engaged and interested. My monthly subscription to this kit has been beneficial. Now, we do not have to plan our playtime at home, as it varies each month and maintains my child's interest.
love these kits that contain everything you need except child friendy (safe)scissors
We have just received our parcel of some play kits and my children have jumped straight in to play! I bought these for ease as I am a teacher and after spending my summer planning and resourcing my own classes play based work I wanted something easy for my children to enjoy- without the need to dye my own rice/pasta ect.
I would say the play sets are good, and worth it if you are maybe are starting out with setting up messy type play activities. I did find them a little basic, especially for the amount of money they are with no pouring type equipment of organising equipment included (we have had other potion type kits before that have included everything needed to explore the activity). They have the basis for the set with dyed rice and chick peas and some smaller items to encourage extended play opportunities and fine motor skills. My 2.5 year old loved the bee kit and spent ages exploring, my 4 year old was less keen with the fairy set but once we added our own little figures this kept her interested for a bit longer. I have ended up printing some extender ideas from the internet to stretch my daughter’s interest a bit more too.
So overall, a nice set and perfect to begin building any messy play/continous provision type activities for your children at home. Some further exploration, basic equipment and maybe some suggested play set up ideas would make these kits even better!
We had great fun and hours of play with the grandchildren hunting for treasure, pouring, filling and emptying pots of rice and corn. The extra bits eg fish, jems, gold and tweezers made for a fun filled play and learning experience. We added a few extra from our own resources the first day but on the second day we just used the resources provided and had just as much fun
A brilliant set that is a classic kids theme but allows a mix of play from sealife to treasure hunts
Always amazing, first class service! The crafts are brilliant and creative - we both enjoy making them so much and keep us busy for hours 😃 We are very happy with our monthly subscription and the customer service is brilliant.
My daughter loved this theme, made the items first then used them all in the sensory box (the box it’s posted in is perfect size). Could have done with some more decoration for wand, ended up using some of our own ones.
Second box, my 3yr old loves the activities, they keep him entertained for a bit and he likes seeing the end result, the only problem we have it persuading him not to do them all at once! We're also both a little bit impatient about waiting for paint and glue to dry 🤣
I bought the Fairy Activity set as a gift and from what I’ve seen, it looks like a quality set with everything that you’ll need to complete the activities. I’m sure it will be well received!
The only reason for the 4 stars is, because it’s bought as a gift and the packaging label was stuck on top of the box which contains the kit. I managed to carefully remove the label, but it was still sticky. Absolutely fine if you bought it for your own little ones, but not as a gift.
The sensory tray shown in the main promotion pictures must be using double base, as this is the only way I manage to get anywhere near as much depth for the little drawers I use for my girls.
An essential add on for the sibling box in my opinion
We love this subscription, it’s worth very penny. My son appreciates them so much and the quality time we spend making each one. So much learning too. Really well thought out kits that also support my parenting. Absolutely fabulous!!
My 3 year old love the kit especially the sensory box ideas and played for ages with it. She liked the crafts as well.
I love these kits as they contain everything you need and I don’t need to search the web for inspiration. Me and my 5 year old love making the crafts together.
So impressed. My daughter is not quite three yet but really engages with the stuff and enjoys making all the crafts! Such lovely activities to do together.
My 3yr old boy loved all the makes, clear instructions easy quick things to hold his attention
