What Can Mini Makers Learn From Monkeys?

What Can Mini Makers Learn From Monkeys?

This month our craft kit sets sail to the jungle for a colourful adventure. Mini Makers get stuck into crafting new friends as they learn and play. One of our jungle characters is a cheeky swinging monkey who can teach little minds skills and lessons they can keep for a lifetime. There is a story behind every monthly craft kit that with a bit of imagination, we can all learn from.

So grab your bananas and settle in, here are a few gems of wisdom from Mr Monkey.

What Can Monkeys Teach Us About The World?

We Can All Be Friends

In our wild jungle craft kit Mini Makers get to make their very own transforming chameleon, spiralling slithery snake and fun, swinging monkey. Woven into the unique friendship group is a special message. We can all be friends - however different. Monkeys form strong social bonds teaching kids how to navigate friendships and play with everyone.

We Can All Learn From Each Other

What can a snake teach a monkey? They stay very silent and focused - while the monkey teaches the snake the fun of being social and making friends. Meanwhile the chameleon teaches them both the power of adaptability. From little nippers to being grown-ups - we can all learn from each other and are often all the better for it.

Share Bananas… And Hugs

In the jungle monkeys learn their own ways of supporting their friends. From sharing bananas to hugs, comforting others and showing empathy make the world a better place. Playing and having fun with our special craft kits teaches little ones joy is one of the best bridges for connection. And let’s face it - we are never too big for a hug.

Some Fun Facts About Monkeys To Share With Your Mini Maker

So there you go, there is a reason they are called clever monkeys. And to wrap up, here are some fun facts about monkeys to share with your Mini Maker…

  • Every monkey has a tail (even it if it a really small one)

  • Monkeys like to live in big groups and they spend a lot of time learning from each other.

  • They like to help clean each other as a way of showing love (a bit like Mum and Dad making you brush your teeth)

  • Monkeys are pretty clever. Some have been spotted using hair (or even sturdy grass) as dental floss to clean between their teeth!

  • They sleep in trees and are quite fussy about where they go to sleep, they love bedtime.
